After
the numerous wounds that the Olympique Lyonnais knew this season, a new hard blow
comes, annoying OL good intentions observed for 2 weeks: Corentin Tolisso’s
wound. He
suffered an injury to his harmstring since Wednesday, February 17th, and could
be absent in grounds for several weeks.
Still
glittering against Caen on Sunday (4-1), Corentin Tolisso found its best level
after a puffing first part of championship. He showed himself in great form on
the last five matches, delivering 3 decisive passes and by scoring 3 goals. But
on Wednesday morning, he had to shorten his training. Affected during the
opposition, he injured himself the thigh and owed, annoyed, to join cloakrooms
earlier than his partners.
According
to ‘L’Equipe’ (French football newspaper), Tolisso is seriously injured in
harmstring and will be absent several weeks. A really bad news for Olympique Lyonnais
in a pivotal period. Lyon moves to Lille on Sunday before receiving the PSG
(Paris Saint Germain) on February 28th. Embarked in an intense sprint to find
the podium and a qualification for the Champions' League, Lyon, already
deprived of Nabil Fekir, needs all its players. Sergi Darder or Jordan Ferri
could see their playing time growing up thanks to the absence of Tolisso.
His
absence risks to press on the collective of the group next weeks, while the
team hardly began to find its sensations.
